Here, you can find information on training courses being run by the Brigade.
A comprehensive range of training courses are offered for leaders and young people and are run at National State, Battalion and Group Council levels by a team of staff and experienced volunteers.
OFFICERS TRAINING
Officers Training is the core training for anyone who wishes to become an officer in The Boys' Brigade. It is also for any other leaders who wish to extend their skills and knowledge in working with children and young people but who may not wish to become officers.

The BB Academy will among other things provide tailor made capacity building training to both members and non-members, in line with the strategic direction of the State Council. The Academy is to stimulate learning and knowledge among members to bring their rich experience on the workings of the Boys’ Brigade and experts in the learning field.

STATE TRAINERS COURSE
This course covers all the essential information and skills for Captains and officers-in-charge. At the end of the course participants will be able to:
- Feel more confident in their role of Captain
- Demonstrate an understanding of mandatory duties and responsibilities, and the boundaries of accountability
- Plan for the development of Company work and ensure targets are met
- Understand how to establish and maintain positive working relationships with Company staff and develop the team effectively
- Identify how to manage the continuation and development of their BB Company
